Monumental edition of the Cantigas de Santa María (Songs of Santa María), by Alfonso X the Wise, with the full reproduction, in colour, of the "rich" codex T.I. 1 of the Library of El Escorial (Madrid), first part of the magnificent works of Alfonso X the Wise, started in 1255, 35 x 50 cm format (512 pages with 1,264 miniatures) and a supplementary volume, same format, with 412 pages containing four studies on this codex: an historic analysis on codices, by Matilde López Serrano; the text transcription and a philological literary study, by J. Filgueira Valverde; the art of miniatures and their archaeological value, by J. Guerrero Lovillo; and a musicologic analysis of the songs, by José María Llorens. Both volumes are bounded in a tablet covered with leather. Along with the edition, we offer two LPs with a select anthology of cantigas, specially recorded by the European band called Música Ibérica for this edition. Out of print. Cf.
